At present, the training  and  placement  section of  the institute is mostly oriented towards providing the Vocational training of the  mining  students in  the end of each  semester.  The Post   diploma   practical   training   is    also   arranged   through  BOAT,  Mumbai, which is compulsory for every mining students.  The other branch students have also option for their apprenticeship in industries through BOAT.

        Though efforts have been made to attract the industries for campus interview, but much success    has    not    been   achieved.    The one of the major reason for this may be that—the location of the institute is not connected through Railways and is far away from metro cities. In   near   future, when  Ambikapur   will    be   connected   through  rail, then there must be improvement in campus recruitments.
